Before Use

Always read the box and all product information supplied before applying. The manufacturer’s current directions and warnings take priority over the general information below.

Before purchasing, tell your tattooist that you intend to use numbing cream. Confirm that your tattoo placement is suitable and that your tattooist is happy for you to use it.

Patch test at least 24 hours before use. Do not use if the test area becomes irritated or if you have previously reacted to lidocaine or another local anaesthetic.

How to Apply

1. Before purchasing, tell your tattooist that you intend to use numbing cream. Confirm that your tattoo placement is suitable and that your tattooist is happy for you to use it.

2. Make sure the skin is clean, completely dry, unbroken and free from irritation.

3. Apply an initial layer of cream and massage it into the skin.

4. Immediately apply a second, generous layer approximately 1–2mm thick.

5. Cover the cream with cling film without wrapping it too tightly.

6. Time your application so the cream has been covered for approximately 45–60 minutes when your appointment begins.

7. Arrive with the cream and cling film still in place. Your tattooist will remove it and prepare the area.

Devon Street Tattoo clients: do not shave the tattoo area yourself. Your tattooist will shave and correctly prepare the skin at your appointment.

You are responsible for applying and timing the product correctly. Results and duration vary between individuals, body areas and application methods and cannot be guaranteed.

Appointment Timing

If you choose to use TKTX, please arrive with the cream correctly applied and covered, ready for your tattooist to remove.

If you arrive without applying it and expect the studio to apply it and wait for it to take effect, you will be charged for the additional time taken.

Your appointment may also need to be rescheduled if the delay pushes your tattoo beyond its allocated time slot, particularly when your tattooist has other clients booked that day.

Important Safety Information

For external use only. Do not apply to broken, inflamed, damaged or irritated skin. Avoid contact with the eyes and mouth. Do not use more than directed on the packaging.

Remove the product immediately if you experience significant burning, swelling, a rash or another reaction. Seek medical assistance if symptoms are severe or continue.

Do not use if you are allergic to lidocaine or another local anaesthetic. Seek medical advice before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, take regular medication, have a medical condition or are unsure whether lidocaine is suitable for you.

Keep out of reach of children.

Devon Street Tattoo supplies TKTX Numb as a sealed retail product. Customers are responsible for reading the packaging, checking that the product is suitable for them and following all manufacturer and tattooist instructions.

Do not put this product into the rectum. Cap tube tightly when not in use.
